Directions to the ceremony

If you are staying in Oakhurst, please prepare to leave by 10:15am for the ceremony site.

Google Maps and Apple Maps will take you to the ceremony site. Just search “Sentinel Beach Picnic Area.”

  1. From Oakhurst, head north on CA-41 (Wawona Road). You will stay on this same road until the final destination.

  2. About 16 miles (30 minutes) from Oakhurst, you'll arrive at the South Entrance of Yosemite National Park. Be ready to show your park pass or purchase one here. Due to weekends crowds, there will likely be a line at the entrance gate.

  3. About 24 miles from the entrance (one hour), you will reach the Wawona Tunnel. From the tunnel, follow the road as it descends into Yosemite Valley. Signs will guide you onto Southside Drive, which loops through the valley.

  4. Follow signs for the left turn into Sentinel Beach Picnic Area, located near the Merced River. It's roughly 15-20 minutes from Tunnel View to Sentinel Beach, all on the same road. You will turn into a parking lot with plenty of spaces.

Google Maps and Apple Maps will take you to the reception venue. Just search “Tenaya at Yosemite.”

  1. From Sentinel Beach, begin by following Southside Drive east to merge onto the main road heading out of Yosemite Valley. Watch for signs directing you to CA-4I/Wawona Road, which will take you toward Fish Camp.

  2. Follow the road back the way you came until you exit the South Entrance of the park. This route will take approximately one hour.

  3. Two miles past the entrance, Tenaya Lodge will be on your left hand side.
